D945GSEJT - WOL in S5 mode

Hi,

I have a D945GSEJT board and I'm trying to turn on the computer (S5 mode) via WOL, but it's not working. I've enable all necessary options in BIOS and Windows.

I can wake my PC from standby, but when it's turn off, it's not working. Does the LAN chip support WOL from S5 mode?

If not, accroding to the manual it should work if I install a network card on the PCI socket, shouldn't it?

Thanks.

Hello Buco,

WOL is supported from S5 as per table 8 in the http://downloadmirror.intel.com/17597/eng/D945GSEJT_TechProdSpec.pdf Technical Product Specification page 28.

However, the operating system must provide full ACPI support. Besides this, I may suggest updating drivers and BIOS.
