Hello,
I have a long running Windows 8 machine with two 300GB SATA drives in a RAID 1 Mirror (Intel D955XBK System board with an ICH7-R chipset)..... My 300GB of usable disk space is at it's capacity..... What are my upgrade options? I really really really don't want to re-build the system from scratch.
The entire 300GB is partitioned as a C: Drive...
Is it possible to swap the drives out one-at-a-time with say 1TB drives..... letting each rebuild... then expand the partition using Windows tools??
Thanks!

Thanks for coming back to the community.
I understand you like to move your existing RAID volume to larger drives.
This is possible with the ICH7R controller, will not require re installation of the operating system and will not compromise the current information on the RAID 1 volume.
Please take a look at this URL:
