I just got computer that has DG41TY motherboard in it and it beeps twice, one before the screen lights up and one before the windows logo show up. At the intel screen i get a code 50. Nothing slows down and nothing has stopped working.
Hello Raven_55, it is very important to know which processor are you using and the model number of the memory.
Also, please let me know if this is a new system you are building?
These are some recommendations for this issue:
- Test the system out of the chassis, minimal configuration please. (Motherboard, processor, power supply, 1 memory stick)
- Remove the CMOS battery and leave the system without it for about an hour. Then put it back on and restart the system. http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-028780.htm?wapkw=clear+cmos+battery# datetime Desktop Boards — Troubleshooting BIOS issues
It's a intel pentium E5300 and it's not a new computer it's a pre-built one. The computer is not having any problems, it starts up fine and fast.
Since this is a mature product, as far as I remember the motherboard used to have that behavior (2 beeps)
So if the system is working fine, please do not make any change on it.
