I have a DG45ID and a Q9550 processor, the board run for about 2 years Citrix Xen Server 5.5 without any problems. A few weeks ago hard disk started failing so we moved all vms to a new server.
Now im testing the server with new disks to put it back in production. The issue is that i upgraded the bios to version 0135 and after the upgrade while installing xen server 6.2 it doesn't detect hardware virtualization, even though its enabled on BIOS->Security and power cycle.
things i tried:
I tried loading defaults and setting Hardware Virtualization to enabled, power off, the on and tried install and nothing..
Downgrade a few versions back to 097 and still the same.
Any idea what could be the issue?
Both (mother and processor) show as supporting VT.
It seems there is something that changed in BIOS with such update(s) that does not like to the operating system. You may try removing the CMOS battery and power for 20-30 minutes and re-flash the BIOS with the recovery method using the same version you had (97).

However, since the option is enabled in BIOS we also need to consider an issue with the operating system so it would be a good idea to contact the developer for further assistance.
Thanks for the reply..
Tried that, but still doesnt work..
Now i noticed that also if i try to enable RAID on the BIOS, while booting i dont see the Raid configuration...
I dont think its a software issue...
Any other idea?
Sometimes you can get better results with a different BIOS update method (Express, F7…). Otherwise, if the board is still in warranty you may try contacting your local Intel support group for replacement.
