Ver. 99, comes with a new feature called 'secure-boot' or 'efi/uefi'. Disable it, then retry-booting it.....
I too suffered this problem and now out of it.....

Im also stuck with .099 and yes uefi its in off and legacy its enabled. No boot. Just hungs. Whats worst is that I cannot upgrade the bios.
This happens with all post 099 bios (BE0109.BIO, BE0111.BIO, BE0113.BIO). I cannot go backwards either.

Here exactly the same problem.
From 0020 to 0048 to 0099. (Because of running Windows 8)
In the Bios of 0099 there is Intel Management Engine Firmware 0.0.0.0
From 0099 there is no possible way to start Windows. Upgrading to newer Bios isn't possible, something about the Inter Management Firmware corrupt.
Recovery of 0048 not possible, recovery of 0099 hangs.
Everything tried what's in the link above.
How do I get Intel Management Engine Firmware in the Bios?
I get the same display as Anibal
I tried all the Bios updates till 0120. No one works...
0099 again does not work, display hangs and I can't click on does not react on Enter...

- Un-plug the power,
- remove the CMOS battery
- Remove the BIOS Configuration Jumper for Recovery mode
- Keep 20 ~ 30 minutes
- Recover from USB with Bios ver. 116 (latest) (http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-023360.htm http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-023360.htm)
