DH67CF and Ivy Bridge

Hi everyone,

I have a DH67CF. The board's AA# is AAG10215-206, so it should be capable of supporting an 3rd Gen Core processor ( I'm thinking of getting a i7-3770) according to this chart: http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/6series_update_flowchart10.pdf http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/6series_update_flowchart10.pdf.

So I followed the instructions on the flowchart, but even after updating the board to version 0156 my board's Intel® ME firmware version stayed at 7.x and didn't change to 8.x or later even after repeating installation using Recovery Update method. The Instruktions on the flowchart aren't clear about whether or not that would be a problem. But I don't want to find out that it is once I have bought th processor. So if anybody has any experience with this, let me know.

Thanks

My board (DZ68BC) also supports ME 7 and 8. I have not been able to find Intel docs that state how the BIOS will decide to select ME 7 or 8. It may be the board revision or the CPU architecture: Sandy bridge vs Ivy Bridge. My assumption is that the CPU architecture controls which ME revision is activated. I have a sandy bridge, thus ME 7 is activated.

The assumption sounds plausible.

But I would like a confirmation before spending the money ;-)
