DH67CL usb devices become inactive at OS bootup

Hi, I have been facing problem the keyboard lights go out & it stops functioning as soon as the bios screen disappears (at this stage the F2, F7, F10 keys work fine) after this there is no keyboard no mouse so I am unable to even reapir or re-install windows. Is it OS or Hardware problem, can anyone guide?

My PC specs are: Intel DH67CL (Bios update= 0132), i5-2500k, 4GB (2X2) Corsair XMS3 DDR3, Nvidia GTX 550ti, Cooler Master GX series 550 watts, Windows 7, 64bit.

The keyboard working during the POST process means the BIOS is not having any problems recognizing the USB devices, this is the reason why you are able to use the keyboard in order to access the BIOS and the One Time Boot Menu as mentioned.

The problem you are experiencing seems to be an Operating System corruption since at the hardware level, the devices work.

Check the BIOS under Configuration > On-Board Devices > USB. Be sure the USB ports are Enabled.

Disabled ports will still work during POST.
