I have a DH77DF mini-ITX board running Windows 7 x64, latest BIOS 105, UEFI boot. No problems using Video Optimization when using default Microsoft/Intel AHCI driver for my Intel SSD. Previously Video Optimization didn't work but that was fixed: /message/169656 http://communities.intel.com/message/169656.
I switched from AHCI to RAID using the latest Intel 11.7.0.1013 driver. Now I have the old problem, the computer won't boot when Video Optimization is checked in the BIOS. Everything works fine once it is unchecked. This is only a problem in RAID not AHCI, and I only have one drive (RAID ready). I'm using all the latest updates from Intel and Microsoft.
Probably related, my DZ68DB board using SRT also can't use Video Optimization in the BIOS but is otherwise fine: /message/172239 http://communities.intel.com/message/172239.

Anyone else having this issue? Anyone successfully using Video Optimization in BIOS with RAID?

It`s by design: Video Optimization skips legacy VGA BIOS initialization, and RAID BIOSes require VGA functions for their video output. This even mentioned in option description in left on new MB`s. Wait until Intel integrate RAID setup into EFI. Same true for PXE network boot, add-on RAID cards and so on.

Thanks for the response. I looked in my DH77DF's Visual BIOS and didn't see anything corresponding to an option description on the left, in either the Boot or SATA menus, which made any mention of not using Video Optimization with EFI and RAID.
I'll wait for a new BIOS which specifically mentions RAID integration into EFI.

SergRed, why are you hijacking this topic? You have a DH77EB. I have a DH77DF, as clearly stated in the title. This is where I got the BIOS, but I don't recommend it for your board.

It's only for the DH77DF and the DH77KC, as stated at the bottom of that page and in the release notes.

SergRed, enable "Legacy boot" on the BIOS and install Windows.
