I got my self DH87mc with 1 Intel SSD , 2 1TB WD & 2 2TB WD.. I am currently running Win 7 on the ssd and the windows Raid 1 on the 1tb and 2tb Hdd.

I do see Raid 1 is supported on the DH87mc . But I remain with Two questions..

1. The 1tb and 2 tb hdd i am using are discs which contain data.If I configure PCH Raid 1 will I loose te data already on it.

2. Will a power failiure or any other act..?? Cause the raid to re-initialise??

You can keep the data from one of the drives when creating a RAID 1 with Intel® Rapid Storage Technology software. Please check pages 30-33 of the user guide.

If one of the disks fails, the RAID array becomes degraded, and rebuilding is necessary to maintain the RAID array healthy once the failed member drive is replaced. See page 9.
