When I turned on my comp this morning I got Red X over the network connections with the affiliated lack of internet.
"Not connected-No connections are available"
I tried running Windows Network Diagnostics on it.
"Install a driver for your network adapter
Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver."
I went to the Device Manager and under Other Devices it had Ethernet Controller with an exclamation point on it.
I tried Update Driver Software, but I just get "Windows could not find driver software for your device."
As I have an Intel DP35DP motherboard I went to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine... https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine...
to download and install this file

But after trying to install that I get
"Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer."
Looking at the back of the case, the ethernet cable is plugged in with the green light blinking about twice a second.
And the second computer on the same LAN is getting internet just fine.

I am sorry to hear that have had issues with onboard LAN card of your motherboard.
I regret to inform you that this issue sounds like hardware problem with LAN device.
You may want to try updating the BIOS for your system to the latest version and make sure Onboard LAN is enabled at BIOS level.
Here is the link for the latest BIOS

If the problem remains, I am afraid this is a hardware issue.
Allan.
