Hi!

Is there any way to use WDT on Windows7 to automatically restart PC when it hangs?

Hello daredee,

I reviewed the technical specification for this motherboard, but I could not find information that would indicate that this feature is present with this model; however, please follow the steps below in order to check if it is present in your BIOS configuration.

  1. Enter your BIOS configuration
  2. Go to the "Performance" tab.
  3. Look for "Fail save" or " Watchdog Timer".
  4. Enable it.

When enabled, the Watchdog timer will catch system hangs and/or failures and reset the system when a POST failure is detected. If a failure occurs, the Watchdog Timer assertion should reset the system and boot using default settings as well as display a warning message.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Amy.
