Similar to other posts I searched, but am looking for definitive direction to proceed. I have configured a block of 18 identical systems for a customer, 4 of them will not boot or even POST to Bios. No video output when powered on, no beep codes. I do get beep codes when I remove memory modules. Processor fan and auxilary case fans work normally. Reading other similar community entries references updating the BIOS for support newer video cards. I have tried to install an old PCI video card, but same results. Configuration main build componentts consists of the following:
Intel C2 Quad Processor, 2.66GHz, 1333MHz FSB
Kingston KVR1333D3N9/2G Modules
MSI GeForce 8400 256MB PCIE Video
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
UPDATE - I am able to access BIOS after POST after I removed the CMOS battery, waited a couple of minutes and replaced. I then updated the BIOS to most recent version. System will POST consistently and proceed to boot sequence via warm re-booting. If I power the system completely down, then I am back to not being able to POST, no video.
