My motherboard will not go into the BIOS when I hit F2.
The BIOS menu comes up but I can not enter any of the options.
The cursor will only move from side to side and not vertically.
The motherboard LED show an E9 message (entering the BIOS) but it never gets past that message.
I did an F7 flash of the BIOS and it said that the BIOS was updated successfully but it still does not work.
When I started the BIOS on the last try it started in the Maintenance Menu (erase password and fix boot) and said to shut down computer and put the configuration jumper back on to pins 1 and 2 from 2 and 3.
The jumper was already on pins 1 and 2 and I had to put them on pins 2 and 3 to get the machine to boot back into the BIOS setup window.
But it still would not let me enter the options.
I had lost my RAID array and I needed to go into the BIOS to set it up agan.
Any help on this would be grately appreciated.

Disregard above message. BIOS started working again on its own.
Go figure!
