DP55WG Second RAID Controller

I tried to put my HighPoint RocketRAID 1740 controller card in my DP55WG Desktop board, but it's a no go. The computer turns on, shows the Intel onboard RAID BIOS. Then the splash screen (where you press F2) comes up for a brief second and is replaced by the HighPoint BIOS scanning for devices. After it finishes its scan, the screen goes black with a blinking cursor in the upper left hand corner and never gets any further. The weird thing is that I cannot get into the BIOS setup (by pressing F2). I called Intel and they told me that alternate RAID controllers are not supported on this motherboard. When I was searching, I came across this: /message/81080?tstart=0 http://communities.intel.com/message/81080?tstart=0. It looks like this guy has a second RAID control card. I would like to know if there is anyone out there that has a second RAID controller card working with a DP55WG motherboard. What kind of card? Any tricks to get it working? Thanks.

Hi!

You could increase the Hard Drive Pre-Delay (see this under Advanced/Drive Configuration submenu) in the BIOS to, say, 5 secs. Please, try this with the BIOS Configuration jumper set to Maintenance (Configuration) Mode:
