DP55WG, Windows 7x 64 ultimate, Processor Intel Core i7_870_2.93GHz, and 2 Memory PATRIOT (PGV34G1600ELK)_DDR3_1600mhz_1.65v of 2GB each one. And I have bought 2 Memory kingston HYPER (HX316C10FR/4)_DD3_1600mhz_1.5v of 4GB each one, to add. Total I would have 12 GB, but kingston memory doesn´t work anyway, alone or together.
Thanks in advance!
DP55WG has memory controller integrated in processor. First generation of Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors supports only double sided 4G memory modules. These modules has two rack 2Rx8 organization. Each rack has eight 256Mbit FPGA chips. You can visually distinguish them. These 4G modules have 8 chips at each side. Most of modern 4G memory modules are single sided incompatible with DP55WG. Double sided 4G modules are not produced now so it difficult to find and buy them. The example of double sided 4G module available on market now is Kingston KVR16N11/4. It is compatible with DP55WG. See specification http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KVR16N11_4.pdf http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KVR16N11_4.pdf Recently (few days ago) I tested KVR16N11/4 with my DP55WG board. It works fine.
