DQ35JOE hangs at boot with WD RED 2TB 3.5" SATA 6GB/s 64MB Hard Drive
I have a system that works fine with older seagate 1.5Tb drives but hangs with a flashing cursor if a WD RED 2TB 3.5" SATA 6GB/s 64MB Hard Drive is present in the system. It hangs before the POST code. The caps lock key still works to toggle the caps lock light and I can hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to reboot but that it is. If the WD it hotplugged to the system after boot it works spendidly, but the system still hangs at the next reboot.
I have flashed the BIOS to the latest available, fiddled with the hard disk delay, reset the BIOS and tried different drive combinations to no avail. This drive does advertise 4K rather than the 512byte blocks of the other drives on the system. The dribe also works if it is attached to a PCIe SATA controller.
How can I get this drive to work with the onboard SATA ports?
