An error occurred when I updated the BIOS version from 58 to 59.
But no matter through Windows upgrade or usb flash drive upgrade, has been reported error, unable to refresh successfully.
After the query that is to remove the network card next to the jumper cap, and then upgrade, upgrade and then plug back.
According to this process, the refresh is very smooth, wait for a few minutes, the refresh is successful.
But boot always prompt the following message, into the BIOS can only see a network card, support amt network card has disappeared.
Finally, I reset the CMOS and BIOS configuration, and updated to version 60, but the problem has not disappeared, please help me thank you.
Speak in your native language; I can use translators.
Neither of the networking solutions (they're chips, not cards) is removable. This is what I don't understand. How are you removing it?
Same problem here with BIOS v59 on DQ77KB
Normal BIOS (Windows/USB) update methods did not work - FW Update Sample Application ERROR FwUpdateFullBuffer
Jumper BIOS flash method reported succcessfull update.
But network card (Intel 82579LM) was not working
Voltages and Temperatures in bios were not reported
Had to flash back to v58 with jumper method to get working BIOS.
There is difference in BIOS file sizes, I suspect it might be related.
BIOS v58 size 14 893 088 bytes
BIOS v59,v60,v61 size 14 901 280 bytes
Actually, let's backup for a second.
Have you installed this update? https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26829/Intel-Management-Engine-Firmware-8-x-Update-for-Inte...
If you have installed this update, the problem is that the MS firmware is newer than what was in the previous BIOS updates. In this case, what I want you to do is install BIOS 61 using the jumper-based BIOS Recovery method.
If you have NOT installed that update, then I first want you to install that update. Make sure to follow the instructions on the download page. Then, as indicated above, install BIOS 61 using the BIOS Recovery process.
Hope this helps,
