My query relates to the Desktop Board DQ87PG. The computer fails to boot in about 1 in 5 cases. A reset will get it going but I wanted to experiment with introducing a hard disk delay as per section 3.9.2 of the Technical product Specification. I have gone into the Visual Bios but can find no option to introduce any such delay. Could someone help me out with how to do this. Many thanks.

Bartleaj, I was checking the BIOS settings and I was not able to find the disk pre-delay option on Visual BIOS.

This setting is available on the DH87MC motherboard but only on classing view. I am going to forward this information to the corresponding department in order to check if this option is or not available on the 8th series motherboard.

I'll keep you posted and thanks for the information you provided us.

Bartleaj, please get in touch with our Warranty department and try replacing the motherboard as it may be defective. http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport
