Hi, I just got my hands on a DX58SO2 mobo for very cheap since it had booting issues. I looked on arrival and the heatsink for the X58 chipset and mosfets was unbelievably loose. It was missing 6 out of 8 screws! I bet the boot issues were caused by the chipset overheating and shutting down to save itself, so hopefully it didn't get fried along the line.
Anyway, I can't find screws that match it precisely. They appear to be about 1.2 or 1.4 mm diameter with springs to prevent over-tightening, but my tape only goes down to 1mm so it's hard to tell. Hardware stores don't stock anything close. I've seen screws in glasses repair kits that are similar, but if anybody knows the actual dimensions, or a source for identical ones, it would be extremely helpful.
