DX79SI USB 3.0 Port versus Sandisk 3.0 USB Stick

Jump to solution

Hello,

my new Sandisk Extreme Cruzer 64 GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Stick does not work on my Intel DX79SI motherboard. The Stick will be only recognized as USB 2.0 by the blue USB 3.0 port. Transfer data at only 39MB / s

After Diagnose, Sandisk Support can´t help, but other USB 3.0 drives work perfectly.

Please help me.

Thank greeting Franke

Hello Franke, It seems like you may have a compatibility problem with your flash drive that it is not being recognized properly. Currently I recommend you to test the flash drive on the other USB 3.0 ports ( front and rear ) and make sure that you are using the latest drivers posted on the following web site:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19880&lang=eng&OSVersion=%0A%09%09%09...

Also some important updates where made to USB 3.0 ports with the latest BIOS. I recommend you to confirm that you have an updated version. You can find it at the following web site:

Regards
