DX79SI memory timing question

My quest is a rather simple one involving the DX79SI mobo, is the G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Model F3-19200CL10Q-32GBZHD of 10-12-12-31 compatible with the aforementioned board. I'm having perodic lock up when opening programs up in Windows 7 SP 1 64-bit.

Hi Daichi Azure,

We would like to let you know that the memory controller hub has been moved to the processor, so the RAM memory you will use depends on what the processor supports.

So since you are using the DX79SI motherboard, and assuming you are using a 3rd gen Intel® processor, the maximum speed you can is 1600MHz at 1.5 volts. Make sure these are the settings you have in your BIOS.

They are. It's just that after a while the PC locks up when it's been running for a while when flash/java heavy things have been running...or when I load a game up after it's finished booting, i'm just trying to eliminate hardware before software...

I know how frustrating your problem is. However, If you pls send us a detailed description about your PC "ie. hardware". Any OCing???

Does the Freeze ups occur only when you enter the RAM timing manually and/or using the XMP?

Hello Daichi,

I don't see any problems with your configuration nor on the report.

Currently the issues that you are experiencing can be caused by any device on your system like the memory, the video card, the processor or the motherboard.

I suggest you to test the processor using the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool

If the processor test passes, I recommend you to test with memory that is natively 1600MHz at 1.5v and using a different video card.

Also make sure that your BIOS is up to date and the video card drivers are the latest.
