DX79TO motherboard and Suse Linux

Hello,

I´m planning to buy a PC system with an INTEL based architecture featuring the DX79TO Extreme series motherboard (socket 2011) and install Suse Enterprise Server as OS.

I checked the product description but I couldn´t find any information on compatibility of this specific motherboard with Suse Operating systems.

My question is, does the DX79TO motherboard support Suse Enterprise Server? I guess so but I need to make sure before buying.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Regards.

Hi Federico,

We would like to inform you that officially, Intel(R) motherboards are not designed to support Linux* or any of their distributions but we have seen many cases which these Operating Systems work just fine. Please check the official Operating System supported list at the following website:

http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/cs-008326.htm Desktop Boards — Supported operating systems

We also recommend contacting the different Linux* distribution support groups for further information.
