Hi,

Has a problem with DX79TO, no RAID card available to me is not working properly, I tested the LSI 1064 (PCI-Ex4) SATA, LSI 1068 (PCI-Ex8) SAS, in each of these cards is disabled RAID Properties option, you can set up something of the matrix RAID by installing these cards are any other desktop or server boards running the card without any problem. To test the RAID card borrowed HP P410/512 RAM, raid but it could create everything, the installation of the system was very long, when you first start the system crash, tested on MS Windows 7, and Debian 6.0. I installed the latest BIOS, to no avail, asking for help, this is defective boards? or are there any counter indications for the use of RAID cards? Thank you and best regards.

Hello,

We would like to inform you that Intel(R) motherboards are not designed to work with PCI Express* RAID cards. The issue you are experiencing is related to compatibility and not a defective motherboard. Intel(R) PCI Express* RAID cards are meant for Intel(R) server boards only.

Hi,

quick update about this ticket.

Just bought a DX79TO, IT WORKS PERFECTLY with my PCI-E ADAPTEC 6865e RAID on ESXi 5.0

I put the correct driver during the installation of the ESXi (thanks to LIZ):

Nothing is related to Outlook here.

Please log in to VMware website in order to download the drivers.

Hello Dan. WHY can't a create a support question in here, or start a dicssion?. so now you get my question here.

For over two months ago I built a "home lab" on DX79TO motherboard, because it along with a 3820 CPU supports VT-d and VT-x.

I have over a month struggling to get my new purchased HP Smart Array P410 RAID controller to work, but it is not discovering any of my disks (which is compatible with the controller).

It can not boot either on the hard drive that sits in 6 Gbps port on the motherboard, or boot the DVD drive, or get into the bios when I have my raid controller card installed.

Is it something you have an idea for how I can solve?

Best Regards

Jacob Christiansen, DK
