DZ77RE-75K Won't POST at all

Hi All,

I just received my DZ77RE-75K and am trying to get it working. I have the following configuration in it now:

  • DZ77RE-75K
  • I7-3770K
  • Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory (CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10)
  • EarthWatts EA-500

I installed the the board per instructions, including connecting the the 2x4 and 2x12 power cables. When I boot, I get no POST codes on the port 80 nor do I get any beeps. The fan spins up, but I get no display. The only activity are the VCCP1 through VCCP3 LEDs are blinking at a regular interval, but I get nothing else. I have reseated them memory, swapped the memory, and tried w/o the memory in with the same result. I have also pulled everything except the memory, CPU and power off the board with the same result. I've also reseated the CPU.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ben

One other thing, the Standby LED is on.

Try to jump start the PSU: http://seasonicusa.com/RMABeta/JumpStart/JS.pdf http://seasonicusa.com/RMABeta/JumpStart/JS.pdf

This way you can rule out if the PSU is the issue or not.

If the PSU turns out not to be the issue and you are not even getting any POST codes, then you have a more serious issue and I'd probably initiate a RMA.

Thanks. This is a known, good PSU, being I'm upgrading the motherboard, proc, that was in the case.

I'll try breadboarding the motherboard today to see if maybe I'm shorting something.
