DZ77RE75K Version # G39010-302 Fix problem Pin 10 USB

Jump to solution

Hello

I got/bought a board Intel BOXDZ77RE75K Batch CNBQ264207 Version # G39010-302.

As per Intel Product Change Notification 111512-00 there are two board revisions:

G39010-302 and G39010-400.

What should/can/may I do ? May I remove Pin 10 from the Front Panel USB 3.0 connector by myself without affection to the board warranty ?

Are there precise instructions how to make a G39010-400 out of a G39010-302 ?

Are there precise instructions how to fix pin 10 USB problem on a DZ77RE75K Version # G39010-302 ?

Or is a better way to return the board to the dealer ? I didn't open the package yet.

Please let me have your advice. Thank you.

Regards

AW

Andy,

If you try to remove Pin 10 from the motherboard, the warranty will be voided. So, my recommendation will be to take the motherboard back to the place of purchase and replace it for the revision G39010-400.

I returned now the DZ77RE75K Version # G39010-302 to the supplier.

From where can I get/buy now a DZ77RE75K Version # G39010-400 in Switzerland, Austria or Germany ?

I asked several dealers for a DZ77RE75K Version # G39010-400 Box-Version. Either they are unable to tell what version the will deliver or they only have the old one G39010-302.

Hello AndyWern,

You can find the list of Intel Authorized Distributors on the following link

Likewise, I tried to return a version 302 board for a version 400 board. Spoke with Intel Customer services. The long and short of it was that the version 400 board does NOT exist. Despite what was written in the Product Change Notification, customer services told me that Intel never got around to producing a version 400 board. They offered me a GZ77GA-70K board instead, which I declined. I would rather keep my Thunderbolt-enabled board and work around any USB3.0 issues by installing a USB3.0 PCI-E card, instead.

If this information is not accurate, can someone pipe up and say that they do actually have a version 400 board?

StephenUK,

I am afraid it would not be possible to get the board revision 400. The implementation on this motherboard has been cancelled due to a product discontinuance announcement, made on the following PCN 112240-00 published on May 1, 2013. https://qdms.intel.com/Portal/SearchPCNDataBase.aspx?mm=920735 https://qdms.intel.com/Portal/SearchPCNDataBase.aspx?mm=920735

I would like to apologize for the inconvenience.
