Does Intel currently make any motherboards

that allow users to set an HDD password in BIOS?

(preferred socket: 1155)

Thanks for the list of motherboards that support HDD passwords.

I noticed that many of the boards have multiple SATA ports.

Could I set a HDD password for multiple hard drives, or just one?

For example: one hard drive has an OS, and a second hard drive is

used for storage - could I set a password for each?

The password set via BIOS on the HDD/SSD is always for the boot drive only.

However, there are 3rd party apps that can lock, encrypt, password protect, etc.. any drive you want.

For Intel motherboards that support an HDD password:

Is there a maximum password length?
