In general, ECC memory is used in servers and non-ECC memory is used in laptops and desktops.
Newegg shows 113 different varieties of DDR2 800 memory, so I think you need to find a different supplier.

I agree that there is 'some' memory out there, but like the original writer I have been totally unable to find and 4GB sticks so I can max out this intel motherboard....that did not cost more than board is worth. Example, I did find it for $100. So if you can point me to a better direction I would be very appreciative. Thanks.

Please check the compatible RAMs for this motherboard at the following link:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards/000005685.html?wapkw=d... http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards/000005685.html?wapkw=d...
I would say the Kingston RAM will be easier to find.
Regards
Ivan
