How Do You Install Chipset Device Software?

I have a DH67CL board with the latest BIOS v. 0160 and an i7 2600 CPU. The AA# of the board indicates it is not 3rd generation capable.

The download center indicates latest chipset device software for intel desktop board with 6 series chipset is v. 9.3.0.1026. I currently have installed v. 9.3.0.1021 and am unable to upgrade to the latest version. A double click on Setup and nothing happens. I did not uninstall the current version assuming the latest version would install over it. I have read the release notes and readme files and see nothing that would preclude updating to the current version.

Any advice on how to do the update would be appreciated. Regards. Peter

Newer versions of the chipset device software have drivers for later chipsets not covered in earlier releases. If clicking on setup results in a fast program termination, it's because the program detected you already had the latest chipset drivers already installed.

Thanks for the reply Brad. Previous updates I've made to chipware device software have resulted in the registry reflecting the new version number. Since this update did not, I still wonder if I'm missing something. Regards. Peter

More than 200 views and only one response to the request for advice on a simple operation like a download and install from the Intel Download Center. Anyone??
