How to conect an IDE DVD Burner to the DP45SG motherboard?

Hello everyone, i have a real problem i bought a pioneer dvd burner but is has a IDE conector and i cant return it to the store because i am outside the USA, i bought on amazon and i want to know if there is a possible way to conect it.

you need to purchase either an IDE-to-SATA converter or a PCI IDE controller.

Thank you so much, i just look at the pci ide controler and i think is the best way to do it, i didn`t know that option. thanks again

yeah i think so too. make sure that if you intend to Boot from this optical drive, that you will need to have an IDE controller that is bootable. (the specification should say if it has a boot bios etc).
