I have windows vista on my desktop and want to update this to Windows 7, but the Intel(R) AMT-SOL and the Intel (R) Management Engine Interface are not compatible in windows 7.
Can i download the Windows 7 versions of these drivers, can i update them?
Or are these drivers not really needed?

Here is a link to the download page for an Intel board with similar chipset: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/50382/Intel-Desktop-Board-DQ35JO Drivers & Software. You can use the Windows 7 Chipset, SOL and MEI drivers that are made available there...
Hope this helps,

I have a program, which tells me if the drivers would work in windows 7 (windows 7 upgrade advisor), but the driver mentioned by N.Scott Pearson, which i downloaded, doesnt show up in there.
So you got any other driver which will work?
And what would be the problem if i just download windows 7 and dont have the Intel(R) AMT-SOL and the Intel (R) Management Engine Interface ?

Joris

In this case I would recommend installing the drivers provided by your computer manufacturer; however, I noticed that there are no drivers for Windows 7, so the best thing to is to try with the drivers provided in the previous link. Here is the link https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/50382/Intel-Desktop-Board-DQ35JO Downloads for Intel® Desktop Board DQ35JO.
It really won't affect the performance of your computer. The Intel(R) AMT-SOL is a technology for remote out-of-band management of personal computers, if you plan to do, this the driver will be needed. The same happens with the Intel (R) Management Engine Interface driver, you will need the driver if you want to use these features.

Amy is absolutely correct! Unless you are actually using AMT (i.e. provisioning the PC), you do not need to install these packages. Yes, this means that you will have a device in Device Manager with a yellow bang (because no driver), but you can just ignore this.
Hope this helps,
