Your board has four sata ports:

However, you have only sata II (3Gb/s, so you will be running the ssd at half its speed (6Gb/s (SATA III)).
Now, that may not bother your, as you will still better throughput.
You will need a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter try to hold the drive, probably.
And, you need to make sure your power supply provides a sata power connector. If not, you can use a 4-pin molex to sata power converter.
Personally, I am partial to seagate and crucial, not WD. Just my preference.

I have encountered no issues using SATA-based SSDs with 6 Series boards.
