Hi,
I am planning to buy i7-3770K with DH77KC motherboard.
Is I7-3770 a better option than 3770k?
I mostly use the system for database applications and training, and personal purposes.
Is the motherboard compatible enough for Windows server 2008 and Suse Linux? Do they run good enough on this system?
Thanks,
kk

Hello mkkrishna,
The configuration of the Intel(R) Desktop Board DH77KC with the Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 Processor 3770 is more than enough for the usages mentioned above.
Here you can find the compatible operating systems for the Intel(R) motherboards:

hello mkrishna,
i agree with victor_intel,
i believe dh77kc is not a motherboard with overclocking options, getting a i7 3770k with overclocking options for this mother board would be a expenditure which could be saved for other accessories.there is not much difference in specifications for these two processors. the board is however compatible with both the processors as per intel's compatibility utility.
regards
