I saw a report on the Hardwareheaven(http://www.hardwareheaven.com/2008/08/skulltrail-xfx-gtx-280-xxx-3-way-sli-4870x2-cfx/ Skulltrail - XFX GTX 280 XXX 3-Way SLi /4870X2 CFx - HardwareHeaven.comHardwareHeaven.com )that it is possible for people to play gtx 280 3-way sli on the skulltrail(d5400xs) with Geforce Release 178 driver（http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/winvista_x86_178.13_whql_uk.html GeForce Release 178 ） in 2008,so I am wondering that It is possible to set up 3-way SLI by using recent graphic cards, such as the GTX TITAN.
With each successive board (and chipset/processor) generation that has appeared, the number of incompatibility issues has increased. Whether this is PCIe compatibility, UEFI (vs. Legacy) compatibility, etc., the issues continue to mount. While I cannot say for sure, I would bet that the "recent" graphics cards are increasingly incompatible with this board.
Not what you wanted to hear, but reality nonetheless...
Thank you very much to N. Scott Pearson for the information provided on the previous post.
In order to find out how the 3-way SLI works on a board, the best thing to do in that case will be to get in contact directly with Nvidia, which is the manufacturer of that product.
