Hello Aanandharaja, thanks for contacting us through the Intel Communities.
This video card is not in our list of tested peripherals, however in order to find out if this is a compatibility problem I would like to
perform some troubleshooting before. http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-032984.htm Intel® 6 Series Chipset Boards — Tested peripherals
Please check if you have installed the latest BIOS version of this motherboard model number.
- If you need to update the BIOS, I would recommend you to check how many versions are between the latest one and the current version. It's better to run a few versions before installing the newest one.
- Check if the video card needs a firmware update.
If you continue having issues with this system combination, this will be for sure a compatibility problem. Bear in mind that we try to make our products compatible to many third party components as possible, but we cannot always guarantee compatibility with all of them.

BIOS is up to date and i checked this card with 1st generation mother board its work fine without any issue. and tested with some other boards, except my board the GPU works fine in other motherboards. i don't understand why this card is not supported by this mother board. the card is PCIe 3, but my motherboard have PCIe 2 slot, but pcie 3 is backward compatibility right?
if the GPU is inserted in the PCI slot means, i try to switch off the system using Power button it gives beep sound, what is the meaning of that sound? without GPU no beep sound, and i don't heard this but before even my GTX 560ti inserted in the slot.

PCIe 3.0 is backwards compatible with PCIe 2.0 but it won't have access to PCIe 3.0 bandwidth. Now, it is important to be aware that it is expected to face compatibility problems between video cards and motherboards.
Technically, the video card should work; however, that has to be defined by the video card manufacturer.

Again, it could a compatibility issue between the board and the video card.
If you want you can contact our warranty team to replace the motherboard if it is still under warranty.

I cannot assure you that replacing the board with fix this behavior. Since this appears to be a compatibility issue with this specific video card.
We haven't received any information about releasing a new BIOS version for this board. I'm sorry.

i searched about this problem in internet most of them faced the problem like me but they get solved after updating their BIOS, now only way to use that GPU in my motherboard updating the BIOS but intel refuse to update BIOS version so sad with in 3 years i wasted one motherboard..without GPU iam not able to render my 3D works.
i5 2500 processor and DH67BL mother board both support are stopped how can i invest again in my 3 years old system?
i tested this GPU in PCI 1.0 slot M/B almost 8years old, its working fine without any issue, but its not working in my motherboard.
in this benchmark http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/36622 PC Test Results - UserBenchmark he using BIOS version 0156, can i downgrade my BIOS version from 0160 to 0156?
Finally i need to invest again for new system?

You should be able to rollback to BIOS version 0156 through the BIOS recovery. Please follow the steps provided at this link http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-034524.htm http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-034524.htm
It will be necessary to download the .bio file from the download center. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=21483 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=21483
