Intel DH67CF and issues with DIMM slot

My computer contains processor Intel Core i5-3470T 2,9 Ghz and mainboard

Intel DH67CF. I have a problem that occured when I changed the processor.

The problem is that if I install memory in one of the DIMM slot, the doesn't

start att all. But if I leave the "faulty" DIMM slot empty, the computer start.

I have also attached a text file (MEDIA-PC.txt) which contains info about my computers hardware

Hello Ekke76, the issue that you are experiencing could be related to the compatibility between the H67 chipset and the 3rd generation processors. It is require to update the BIOS to use the I5-3470T processor on this motherboard. However according to the file you send I was able to see that you are using the latest BIOS available.

Would you please let me know the following?

  • Is this a brand new system?
  • Does it used to work?
  • Which memory RAM are you using?
  • Can you test the system out of the chassis?
  • Are getting 3 beeps when using the board without memory?

  • Is this a brand new system?

I have myself built this system with diffrents parts.

  • Does it used to work?

It used to work, but when I changed the processor I got this problem.

  • Which memory RAM are you using?

Kingston KVR1333D3N9/4G x 2

  • Can you test the system out of the chassis?

Yes I can test the system out of the chassis.

  • Are getting 3 beeps when using the board without memory?

No beep sound when I start without memory.

This problem occur when memory is installed at DIMM slot 2, but when DIMM 1 is used,

then there is no problem.

Hopefully these answers was enough explained. I can put more info if needed.

If you still have the other processor, please test it on the board. If the issue persisted, I recommend you to contact our Warranty Department so they can help you replacing your board if it is still under warranty: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport
