Intel DH77EB Display Port

Jump to solution

Hello

Does anybody know if the DP of the DH77EB Mainboard needs paasive or active Display Port cable? I have a DP to HDMI cable and want to connect to my TV so i need a DP++ Port. I cannot find any informations in the manual.

I only find this: DisplayPort output can also be converted to HDMI using a DisplayPort-HDMI converter.

Thanks

You need active cable/converter in case of:

- DP-VGA transition

- need for over HD resolutions/over 60 Hz refresh rates/over 32-bit color depth image transfer to DVI or HDMI

- more than 2,5 meters cable lengths (no matter to what standard converted)

To connect close HD-TV to PC passive converter should be enough.
