Intel DZ68BC board: compatible with current USB 3.1 PCI e add-on boards?

Looking to upgrade from the on-board USB 3.0 to today's USB 3.1 add-on PCI boards. Any idea if current or latest BIOS will accommodate this upgrade.

Running WIN 7 64 bit OS>

Thanks!

You will use USB-3.1-connected devices in BIOS-dependent environments? Cause under Windows BIOS services are not used, only OS USB stack and exact controller drivers.

Using an add-in card like this is certainly possible. You likely will not be able to use this device for booting purposes and you should not plug your keyboard or mouse into it. As JFFulcrum has pointed out (albeit cryptically), once Windows has taken over, the BIOS is not involved in the operation of this card. Once you install the proper Windows driver for this card, you should be good to go...
