Have an Intel Desktop Board DP35DP it was working etc did an upgrade of the bios for the new cpu i installed and after the upgrade it rebooted but hangs with a non flashing white dash on the top left corner of the screen.
have tried a bios recovery and that does the same
Here is a list of supported processors for your board:
If your new processor is not on this list, there is your problem.
If your new processor is on this list, the processor may be defective, especially considering its age.
If your old processor still works, the bios update is good.
If your old processor no longer works, then the bios update is bad, or the board suffered damage in the processor upgrade process.
have not changed the cpu out made the bios update with the same cpu , only thing is it did not know what cpu it is
have tried a throng of other cpus as well all does the same
was looking for a previous version of the bios but could not find out to see if it wil actually downgrade to that
swopped out memory and gpus to see if perhaps if that is the problem
Your post makes no sense.
You can find all of the bios updates here:
Personally, with a board this old, and the problems you are having, I would take the board to a recycle bin.
