Intel Not Producing Desktop Boards After 8 Series, So Give Us Visual BIOS For 6 Series & X79 Series

Jump to solution

Just as the title states we know now that Intel will not be producing desktop boards any more after 8 series. So my request is simple please Intel BIOS/Visual Bios developing department, give us VISUAL BIOS for 6 Series Motherboards & the X79 Motherboards now that you will not be producing any more desktop boards it would be a nice parting gift for your loyal consumers

I particularly use the DZ68BC and would like to see VISUAL BIOS on it, i guess many consumers would, plus the DZ68BC BIOS since 0035 have been nothing but trouble so if you don't mind fix the BIOS and please release it as VISUAL BIOS

One last good parting gift for your consumers

Anyone who is up for this idea of VISUAL BIOS please post in this thread, so that Intel can know how much we want the VISUAL BIOS.

Regards

Stephen

This is in fact a fair request from customers who have faith in Intel. I am a Dz68DB user and having a visual BIOS would be a great idea.

As of the plans about discontinuing making Desktop Boards, I will believe it only when I see it happen, when it is so far (which means 2016).

Intel may drastically decrease the Board Model production but there is always room for a couple of good Boards. When a hand hurts you do not cut the hand, you try to heal it. And so Intel could focus on less but very qualitative, unbuggy boards which could be a plus for the company. After all Inter did have profit from the Desktop Boards Market and not a loss. What if the Haswell Boards turn out to be a huge succes? Isn't that a reason for reconsideration? Surely it is. It simply doesn't make sence to discontinue something which is : 1) profitable, 2) has a good name on the market, such as Intel's Boards, despite some flaws in some Models, but then again, there are no motherboards with no issues, even if they are Boards of competing companies.

I hope too that there will be good news and that the interest on Intel Desktop Boards will keep going beyond Haswell. Good products like these should always be around!
