Hi Percyvale,
Thank you for your information.
The Intel DP55WG Motherbaord and 82578DC Network Connection do not have Windows* 10 drivers. However, here are the few fixes you may try:
1. Update Windows* 10 hot fix:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3156421
2. Try installing Windows* 8 Driver:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/21642/Intel-Network-Adapter-Driver-for-Windows-8-?product=...
Hope the above recommendations will help fix your network connection.
Sincerely,
Sandy

Hi Percyvale,
You have a legacy product; according to the list of supported Operating system, there are no divers for Window® 10 using this board.
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards/000005640.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards/000005640.html
To better understand could you please explain me, this part of your comment: (the network connection due to continuous boot & reboot has costed me a power unit and now the computer does not start!)?

Hellen.

Hi Helen,
Every attempt to start my computer resulted in one beep with three continuous beeps! Remedy was to disengage modem and reboot till I get computer working. As the problem persisted more "boot & reboot" were required to get the computer started. I eventually encountered with continuous beeping problem & and despite all attempts computer by itself was performing a loop "boot & reboot" ?! so I was told by computer maintenance guy that power unit has to be replaced. after replacing power unit at a considerable cost, few days later the problem resurfaced with beeping sound again. I am now despite all my attempts unable to even start the computer!

Hi Percyvale,
I suggest you to test your computer using one memory stick at the time, in both slots; also if you could try with another stick would be great.
Please let me know the outcome.
Regards,
Hellen.

Hi Hellen,
I have tried this technique before to no avail! I have swapped memory sticks places. "pls note I have 4 memory sticks" total 25 GB RAM . I have also taken out battery from mother board, have rested it for 10 minutes before putting it back in its place! However, I took your suggestion on board, and took 4 memory sticks out and started computer with one memory stick to no avail.
I welcome any other suggestion, and thanking you for your help.
