works fine on my Z77 board, should work with the Z68, just make sure you have the latest BIOS installed, and are using RAID mode in the BIOS.

Then download the latest Intel RST

Thanks. Did you do a fresh install of Windows 8? or upgraded from Win7 x64?

a clean install, I booted my Windows 8 USB stick in UEFI mode (Hit F10 at boot then selected the UEFI USB media) then I deleted all my partitions on my current windows 7 install from the installer and did a fresh\clean install where the installer made new partitions. This is the best way as it's a true clean install and using this method I haven't had a single issue!

*note* I downloaded the "upgrade" version of Windows 8 Pro, so I had to make sure Windows 7 was installed on the hard drive before I installed, since my hard drive was blank I had to install windows 7 first, then I booted using my Windows 8 USB upgrade, and it wiped the hard drive clean deleting the windows 7 partitions and created new partitions. The first time I tried it on a blank hard drive but it wouldn't activate, so I had to install windows 7 first, just to show I had it before.

Thanks Shaun. I bit the bullet and upgraded from Win7 x64 and Win8 x64 Pro and everything is working just like before. Great upgrade process and few drivers needed upgrades. Intel RST working great.

I understand RST is working on your Z68 MB with Windows 8 installed.

Can you confirm that you are able to use a SSD as a cache to accelerate a HD using Smart Response Technology?

I was able to set up RST and get RAID to work, but there is no "Accelerate" button on the toolbar and I cannot find a way to activate SRT.

Does SRT work in Windows 8?
