Need Help! DP43BF with Corsair TW3X4G1333C9A Memory won't run

Hi,

I've bought a new DP43BF motherboard and installed 2 x 2GB Corsair TW3X4G1333C9A into it (also new).

According to the mainboard's specifications the memory modules should be compatible.

Unfortunately, this seems to be something, the board does not know about.... ;-)

The BIOS is set to standard settings. The memory is 1333Mhz, 9-9-9-24, 1.50V, Non-ECC... double sided with 1GB on each side (organized with 8 SDRAM devices on each side). Well, it all fits to the specs, but the board does not start up.

On power on, it beeps 3 times, which is a memory error, as far as I know...

Can someone confirm, that the memory is not compatible and in that case can someone give me some hint which one will work (as looking into the spec does apparently NOT help)?

I want to install 8 GB memory which can only be achieved with 2GB modules on this board. So any hints are welcome.

Bios Version 088 adds support for DIMMs with 2Gbit SDRAM density. You will need to update the BIOS to the latest version 088 to use the 2GB modules. You can use a single 1GB stick to update the BIOS. You may need to update the BIOS versions gradually and not go straight to version 088.

Note:

If the current BIOS version is 0070 or earlier, you must first update to version 0085 before you can update to 088.

Nails, you were right about the BIOS update. Shame on me, couse I've thought of it myself, but I misinterpreted the BIOS' name for the version. I thought that "86A" in RKG4310H.86A is actually the version. I simply made the error for just looking at the latest BIOS version in the list of BIOS updates and compared it to the one on my MB (which naturally is the same).... thanks to your post, I took a second look....

If this problem occurs after BIOS update, you can try to install 2 memory modules first, and then install the memory modules in the order of 1-3 motherboard slots. No problem after power on. Install 2-4 memory after power off.
