PCI Express x4 and Video Cards for DH61AG Motherboard

My DH61AG mini-ITX has a x4 PCIexpress slot and was wondering if I could install a standard x16 Video card?

While I understand the speed of the card will slow down my main reason for adding one is not to play games

but to allow me to add a Third monitor to my system. I am currently using both the HDMI and DVI port.

I could get a USB Port replicator that adds video ports but they are a hit or miss...Thanks in advance...

Hello Mike Poullas,

You will be able to use the x16 video card on the x4PCI-e, however the speed it's not going to be the same.

regards.
