I bought DH87MC and 4th gen i7 4770 five days ago. Issue is whenever I try to copy data on external drive using any of USB 3.0 port, drive automatically disconnects and reconnect while the message appears that destination could not be found. However, same drive is working fine on USB 2.0 and on my HP Probook USB 3.0.
After Net search it was found that problem is with the Intel chipset with C Stepping 1.
Can anyone help me out over this issue.
Please let me know which is the model number of the external drive you are using?
Some recommendations that we can provide you for this issue are the following:
Make sure you update your motherboard to the latest BIOS version available:
You may also need to have the latest Intel USB 3.0 driver.
I'm using Western Digital 500 GB My Passport Essentials and Western Digital 1TB My Passport Essentials.
I've read the release notes of revised BIOS version. It does not address any such issue neither I found any thing pertaining to USB.
USB 3.0 drivers are up-to-dated.
Nauman, even though the latest BIOS version does not include fixes related to USB, could you please try it and let me know the results?
