Processor Time Very Slow?

Jump to solution

Hi,

Windows Embedded Compact 7.0 - Intel NUC DCCP847DYE (Celeron 847 processor).

The funcion QueryPerformanceFrequency: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms886789.aspx http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms886789.aspx

returns the value 1,193,182

The over head for QueryPerformanceCounter() is 12 micro-seconds and seems very slow.

The Celeron processor is suppose to run at 2.0Ghz.

Is this speed right?

Does this reflect the processor speed?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank You.

Intel Greg, according to our site www.ark.intel.com, the speed for the Celeron 847 is 1.1 GHz.http://ark.intel.com/products/56056/Intel-Celeron-Processor-847-2M-Cache-1_10-GHz?q=847 http://ark.intel.com/products/56056/Intel-Celeron-Processor-847-2M-Cache-1_10-GHz?q=847

You can download the Intel® Processor Diagnostics Tool. This utility will checks for brand identification, verifies the processor operating frequency, tests specific processor features, and does a stress test on the processor.
