My old motherboard has died. It was hosting Intel Core Duo 2 processor and a 4xSATA RAID 10 volume, based on ICH7R controller. I am now looking at upgrading my machine with a new board & processor, probably 5th generation i7.
What I need is my RAID10 volume to work, or at least be able to recover the data from it. I cannot find any compatibility information regarding ICH7R and any new chipsets.
Does anyone know what chipset / raid controller would allow me to do that? Any other advice?
Thanks in advance

In order to keep using same RAID 10 volume with same drives, you need another computer supporting same RAID volume. In other words, you can move your drives to another system as long as the new board supports same RAID level.
