I am using an Intel Desktop Board DZ68BC with HDMI out on Win 7 x64. As soon as I install the Intel HD graphics drivers, I get forced reboots of Windows - Windows loads the login screen, they reboots. I can use Safe Mode and when I uninstall the driver and use the Windows standard VGA driver, but I still have periodic random reboots.
OS: Windows 7 x64 SP1
HD Graphics Driver Version: 184.108.40.2066
Processor: Core i7 2600k
Memory: 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws X CAS 8
BIOS version: 0027
Monitor: HP w2408h
I have tried various versions of the graphics driver and BIOS, with no luck. It's not the memory as I ran MemTest for 8 hours with no issues reported.
I have heard people mention version 2219 of the driver, but I can't find it on downloadcenter.
In shorrt, I have the latest updates to everything on a motherboard that was released a few weeks ago. A problem similar to this looks like it has been around awhile: /thread/20439 http://communities.intel.com/thread/20439
Any new updates on this?
So I tracked down the problem - it was actually wy power supply that was running at unstable coltages and causing general system instability.
For some reason it manifiested in a way that once the Intel HD graphics drivers were installed, the system would randomly reboot.
I'm sorry I doubted you Intel, it wasn't your motherboard.
I'm experiencing the same issue. Can you to twll me please how you tested your PSU
and found up there is an issue tith its voltage?
I also have this problem (with DVI and not HDMI). is there any way of solving it?
My problem was with my Corsair F60 SSD with a Sandforce chip.
I've moved to Crucial SSD, and all issues has gone.
If you used an SSD that has already any OS installed (from other motherboard),
then format and install again.
Try to use IDE insdead of AHCI on BIOS for SSD chanel, and make new instalation.

Update your BIOS as well.
