I have a OCZ Trion 100 240GB SSD connected to a DP55KG and it is working just fine. These boards are very similar (though don't share a BIOS). I presume that your goal is to load the O/S onto this SSD? Have you actually tried to do so or did you stop because the BIOS didn't see it? I have seen cases where devices don't show up in BIOS Setup yet are there, working and can even be booted from. Thus, if you stopped, I suggest that you proceed and attempt to install the O/S- and I recommend doing so using AHCI. If it doesn't see the drive, try again but with UEFI enabled in the BIOS. If it too doesn't see the drive, then either the SSD is bad of something has failed on the board...

Hope this helps,

Ah, you didn't say that Windows couldn't see it; only that the BIOS couldn't...

If neither is seeing it, it means that you have either a BIOS issue (which you will never see fixed; this board is well past its end-of-life) or you have a hardware issue. Have you verified the SSD works (in another PC)? Have you tried plugging the SSD into a different SATA port on the motherboard? Try these things...

Hello, Basse:

As Scott suggested (helpful and informative as usual), it could be the SSD, the SATA ports in your board, the cables used or a compatibility issue as well, have you tested other HDDs or SSDs in your unit?

Esteban C
