I need some Help, I purchased Asus P8Z77-Lk Motherboard, Socket 1155.
The board is not posting with RAM in A1/A2 Slots. But posts if I put RAM in B1/B2 slots, in one or either, works fine zero issues. I checked everything from RAM to PSU etc etc, all is fine.
Then someone suggested to check the Socket. I checked the socket and there seems to be 1 pin slightly bent (I think). Please can someone with Tech knowledge take a look at the picture and advise, that is this Pin on the CPU / Socket responsible for that malfunction?
Here are the Pics:
Will appreaciate it.
Looks like pin AU38, this document says it has something to do with DDR3 (Page 95): http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/datasheets/3rd-gen-core-desktop-vol-1-da... http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/datasheets/3rd-gen-core-desktop-vol-1-da...
You can deduce the pin number from the diagram in that document, or based on this image: http://img.clubic.com/03857644-photo-intel-socket-lga1155.jpg http://img.clubic.com/03857644-photo-intel-socket-lga1155.jpg
There's a good chance that pin contact is the problem, but beyond that, I don't know.
Thanks a lot for the info. Sorry for the late reply though.
I am in the processor of RMA'ing the Board. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Thanks again, appreciate it.
