I did read about the Spectre / Meltdown mitigation, and from what I understood you need:
When will Intel release patches for their desktop mainboards? I found nothing clear/official regarding those boards, and I do have a DH87RL that could really benefit from that.
Intel committed to delivering updates for all affected products by the end of the month. Watch the downloads page for your board for the release of an updated BIOS. It should appear sometime in the next few weeks.
Yea, instabilities showed up in the microcode. They had to recall all versions. The cause has since been fixed, but they have decided to do more thorough testing before releasing. My understanding is that a few have been released and should be seen shortly.
The schedule for delivering updates for the various products will appear on these web pages:

A schedule for the Desktop Boards has not been posted as yet but, if you click on the See All button in the This article applies to: section, you will see a list of the ids of the boards that they plan to update (I hope they stick with this list).
Hope this helps,
At least currently I'm not seeing "this article applies to".
There is only a list of links to support pages for related products. If it previously had this article applies to, maybe it was a mistake.
Sorry, I shouldn't jump back and forth answering multiple queries at the same time (I get mixed up on which I am responding to ). It is the Find support for related products section. Look for the See All link under it. As I said, I am presuming that these links are here because these are the boards that they intend to (eventually) address.
Here is an update from yesterday if you bought your MB from Intel:
